A Doll's World

Drops are pouring outside,
slow at first like water droplets
before pouring in the form
of a million tears.
Thousands of angels crying out
in painful remembrance
of the hardships of the world.
Endless sounds of pitter-patter on the ground
with the dark sky engulfing every ray of light.
Eternal till nothing is left to cry for,
and it passes as the world forgets
and starts anew.

For the Philippines, and all who were affected by Storm Ondoy.

It takes just one step to start a journey.

Hope, to make a dream.

Faith, to endure it.

Determination, to finish it.

Spur of the moment thought.

Let my tears fall on the seed

from where my heart shall grow again.

Let the pain and the hurt

bring forth a stronger heart

that won’t wither quickly

when it is no longer loved.

Let it grow taller than ever before,

let it grow bigger and wider

and let it cover more ground.

Let this heart reach high,

high into the sky,

let it dream immense dreams

and be loved by many people.

So if ever it one day withers again,

let not my tears be the only one

nurturing the seed;

let those it has loved,

and those that had loved it in return

give birth to a stronger heart.

and hearts don’t ache,

When pigs do fly

and lovers don’t lie,

call me, won’t you darling?

When the sun grows cold

and our nights together old,

hold me, won’t you darling?

When true love is untrue

and I’ve finally lost you,

kill me, won’t you darling?
